Résumé
The following résumé outlines my education and honors received from the University of Arizona, both as an undergraduate and a graduate student. It also depicts the jobs I have held as a student, working twenty to thirty hours a week on top of my class load in order to support myself in school. These jobs are not always directly related to education, but they have taught me a lot about working with all different kinds of people and how to manage a large group of unruly teenagers as an authority figure. I have committed myself to my education and to my jobs throughout college and I will continue to do so as I graduate and move into my permanent teaching career.
This résumé shows that I have graduated with high honors from the University of Arizona, and have a commitment to the field of English. My ability to succeed in both academics and the workplace has developed my ability to listen and observe my surroundings in a sensitive and consistent fashion (InTASC Standard 3r). My work experience has forced me to work very closely with people from all backgrounds and with all kinds of histories, and has developed my skills so that I am be able to interact with people of all kinds with as little bias as possible (InTASC Standard 9i). In each workplace, there was a heavy emphasis on collaboration, both with one another in the workplace itself, and on employee listservs and websites. I have developed a strong professional identity in order to work with anyone in a positive fashion (InTASC Standard 10n).
